PEEK (polyether ether ketone) is a strong, stiff plastic material that is often used in applications where performance at elevated temperatures is required. PEEK has outstanding chemical resistance as well as resistance to steam and hot water. It is a colourless organic polymer thermoplastic used in engineering applications. PEEK can easily be fabricated to any close tolerance.
PEEK (polyetheretherketone) is a high-performance engineering plastic with outstanding resistance to harsh chemicals, and excellent mechanical strength and dimensional stability. It offers hydrolysis resistance to steam, water, and sea water. PEEK has the ability to maintain stiffness at high temperatures and is suitable for continuous use at temperatures up to 338°F (170°C). This engineering plastic has a proven track record in challenging environments such as aerospace, oil and gas, and semiconductor.
PEEK IS WIDELY USED FOR:
Semiconductor machinery components
Aerospace parts
Bushings, bearings, seals, and back-up rings
Pump and valve components
Vacuum wand handles
Down hole electrical connectors
Medical instrument parts
Food processing machinery components

Some of PEEK's Material Properties:
Chemical Resistance: PEEK displays high resistance amidst a wide range of chemical environments, including high temperatures. It can only be dissolved in concentrated nitric acid or sulphuric acid.
Long Life: It is a hard, stiff and strong polymer. It displays good friction as well as wear properties.
Hydrolysis Resistance: PEEK material can be exposed for a long period of time tohigh pressure water and steam without exhibiting any serious degradation.
High Temperature Resistance: When the process temperatures go beyond the limit of what conventional plastic materials can withstand, it is advisable to go for PEEK.
